Mipango · Mentorship Program

Raising the next generation.

An active mentorship program for young people — with a deliberate focus on the girl child — built with partners who share the work.

The program

Guiding youth — especially the girl child — through career guidance, economic empowerment and community transformation.

Mentorship is how a profession gives back — one young person at a time.

CR. Amanya Advocates runs an active mentorship program for young people, delivered in partnership with Rotary and Rotaract clubs and Makerere University School of Law. The program pays deliberate attention to the girl child — because the profession, and the country, are stronger when she is given room to rise.

Mentorship at the firm is practical, not ceremonial: our lawyers give their time to career guidance, to building the economic capabilities of the young people we work with, and to the kind of community transformation that outlasts any single mentorship cohort.

What the program covers

Three commitments to every mentee.

Career guidance

Helping young people understand the paths open to them — in law and beyond — and what it takes to walk them, from subject choices to professional conduct.

Economic empowerment

Building practical capability — the skills, habits and confidence that turn ambition into livelihood.

Community transformation

Mentorship that multiplies: young people equipped to lift the communities around them, long after the program ends.

The girl child

A deliberate emphasis across everything the program does — access, encouragement and example for young women finding their way toward the profession.

Partners

Delivered in partnership with Rotary and Rotaract clubs and Makerere University School of Law — partners who bring reach, structure and shared conviction to the work.

Mentorship in action

Talks, panels and recognition

A record of the program beyond chambers — youth development sessions with Rotaract clubs, law-student roundtables on inspiring the next generation, guest-of-honour engagements, speaking at the Annual Law Conference, and a Women in Law Awards nomination for Best Female Managing Partner of the Year.
